Hi, my name is Reinier, I’m 22 years old and I live in Holland. I’m a Rise Against fan since the end of 2005/begin of 2006. I can’t exactly remember.

Why this website?
I was looking around the internet for a Rise Against fan site and forum. I just wanted to share my experience with other Rise Against fans. I was searching and searching but couldn’t find anything. I found only some dead websites and forums with old news and inactive members. The only thing I found was the Last FM group.

I decided to make a fan site by myself at September of 2008. I had a lot of free time so that was not the problem.

Finally, at the end of October the forum came online. It was starting slowly of course because I had to promote the forum and the website was still not finished. The first members which I didn’t know came after a week. In December of 2008 the website cam online, finally! This was taking a while because I had to wait for the flash intro, which is not made by myself but by a friend of me.
From then I started to promote the website and forum on the internet.

In February 2009 a lot of new people joined the forum just because there was a lot of advertisement on a Dutch Rise Against community (Hyves).
Also in February a lot of spam (bots) joined the forum. I asked Fierljeppertjuh to join the ‘crew’ for more moderation. The first moderator was ‘born’ on the forum. After a while, Lielo joined the forum and asked me in which way she can support the website and forum. She made us some banners and promoted the website and forum arround the net. Also she reached the ‘moderation status’ at the 17th of February 2009.

After the second anniversary in 2010, we had our first ‘contest/give away’, a fresh new frontpage design and over 500 forum members.

Now we’re looking forward to being the biggest Rise Against community.
